In short: A good fun run In full: A many others have pointed out this run was never going to be one to set a PB on, however I felt that Leeds City Council overlooked several things including toilets, baggage handling (45 minutes queuing is not inspiring) and the turn on Meanwood Road which was so narrow everyone I have spoken to came to a standstill going through it.
That aside the atmosphere was fantastic and it was excellent to see so many people hitting the streets of Leeds for such a good cause.
As someone else has also mentioned the route was over 10.25km not 10k - although perhaps for a fun run this is not so important?
I will probably do this race again to commemorate Jane's memory but and hope the organisation will be improved next year. Date of review: June 23, 2008
In short: Fast, if highly uninspiring course In full: Well organised and well marshalled course. The 'start' was interesting as was the finish. Would do it again purely because of PB potential, but disappointing that there is no momento for people finishing in over 50 minutes.
In short: Fantastic race, excellent atmosphere. In full: This is the third 10k I have run recently and by far the best. I have been running on and off for 4 years - this being probably my 6th race to date. The atmosphere was fantastic, the course challenging but very enjoyable and the organisation and facilities great. I couldn't recommend it more. It is definitely my favourite 10k thus far.
