In short: Start and finish in a beatiful park In full: Good transport links and ample parking made this easy to get to. Known for being hot, the organisers were well prepared with water every 1.5 miles - brilliant!
Undulating course kept the race interesting without slowing the pace too much. Over all a great race I'd do again. Areas that could be improved would be a wider start (it'sa bit narrow for the first mile) and better organisation at the finish. It wasnt clear where to get medals / tshirts etc Date of review: June 10, 2008

In short: Great late in the year race In full: Undulations will slow you down a bit but you can make up the time on the descents. Awful conditions so a HUGE thanks to the excellent marshalls who braved the cold and rain to help us out. A challenging course but not as tough as the course profile would indicate. In short: Wonderful! Just turn up In full: 5k races were never my thing but this one is great - friendly people, it's free! On a Saturday so doesn't clash with other races. Pictures & results are up the same day & the crowd is really friendly. Brilliant, brilliant run Date of review: July 27, 2006

In short: A race with a real friendly atmosphere In full: There were less than 100 runners when I did this I was worried about being left behind. That didn't happen & less runners seemed to make everyone more friendly & talkative. Organisation was good with a BBQ afterwards & drinks in the club house. I sesible race time of 11am meant running supporters could at least have a bit of a lay in that Sunday morning. In short: The hard part is the start In full: My first ever half marathon & race even. It was a great introduction to running - organisation was excellent parking provided, directions were spot on. A nice big field to warmup in, toilets (or trees for blokes not wanting to queue). Excellent support from the locals all the way round. I really rate the local support highly, I think they take a great deal of pride in their race. Goodie bag & medal was good. I've run this race twice now & both times it has been scorching hot on the day - very tough if you intend to finish around the 2 hour mark Date of review: April 14, 2006

In short: The best marshalls & support I've ever had at a race! In full: I ran this for the first time in 2005 & was prewarned that it always rained. It did rain constantly - I got soaked but didn't care. I overslept & missed the start but there were still Marshalls out clapping me on. Supporters were excellent too braving the harsh condidtion & cheering everyone on. Steep hill at about mile 8 but you can make up lots of time on the downhills. Marlow is my favourite race Date of review: April 14, 2006

In short: Worth doing once for the scenery perhaps In full: Start was badly organised - you'll be tripping over people for at least the first 3km Date of review: September 2, 2004
