In short: Perfect for a pb if the weather conditions are right
In full: This is a perfect 'runner's race', well-organised, easy car-parking, fast and flat. The course is very boring, and there are not many spectators (nor much to attract them) but we don't always choose races just for the scenery and this is a good 10k.

In short: Beautiful Marathon
In full: I ran the White Peak marathon after injury ruled me out of London, and I'm really glad I made this choice. The scenery is beautiful, the first half is challenging without being impossible, and the steep downhills come at just the right time. Its my sixth marathon and the most enjoyable so far.

In short: Enjoyable race and a great course
In full: I enjoyed running this a lot, it was a well-designed and scenic route. One minor criticism is the lack of car park marshalls - there seemed to be a lot of frantic (and potentially dangerous) last minute looking for spaces. Apart from that, an excellent race.

In short: Beautiful course, excellent organisation
In full: Very enjoyable race that is both perfect preparation for a spring marathon, and a great event in its own right.

In short: Such a big event that I am glad that I ran it
In full: I was lucky enough to be allowed to start at the front, so I didn't have the problems with crowds that others had and ran a respectable 1:24. Atmosphere and Red Arrows were great, but it is so expensive and so much effort getting to the start an hour early, and getting home from South Shields that I'll leave it a few years before returning.
The London Marathon is a superior event in every way.

In short: Good, quick course but poorly organised start
In full: Second time I've done this and I ran a pb so I like the course, especially the finish in the stadium. However, the start is poorly organised, the marshalls need to be more directive with such a large amount of competitors.

In short: An amazing experience, thanks to the crowd support
In full: This is my third marathon, but my first big event and it is difficult to imagine going back to empty, quiet roads. Great route, well-organised race and magnificent support.
