In short: great atmosphere and weather conditions= great day
In full: 2nd year running at brighton and enjoyed it again. Was so pleased the weather transformed from saturday!
Again I had a late start due to ridiculous toilet queues, and so was behind the 4:15 pacer despite aiming for 3:30. Didn't get a pb this year but loved the atmosphere, crowds, drums, music and everything else that is Brighton.

In short: party atmosphere and lots of support-great race.
In full: My first brighton marathon and thought it was amazing! The support was brilliant although agree miles 20-22 were the toughest.Only small complaint-had to go a long way past the finish before being able to get back up the stairs to the road.Would definitely do again and think it rivals London for atmosphere and pb potential.

In short: probably as enjoyable as a 20 mile run can be!
In full: really good value, friendly marshalls and free tea and cake. I have done the 17 mile one twice before but not 20. The hill at 12 miles was tough especially finding you had to do it again in a few miles but really well organised and good to start people in small groups to prevent bunching/bottle necks on the steps and tow path.Well done to Gade Harriers.

In short: bargainous but tough run
In full: tow path was predictably boggy and congested despite the staggered start but otherwise well marshalled with water stops and world famous?!!jelly babies stop.some tough hills but some good downhills as well.very impressed at free cakes at the end.

In short: scenic rural route with a few mean hills to make it interesting.
In full: my 2nd attempt at watford and the hills were meaner than I remembered but some good downhills esp in 2nd half. I liked the marquee to hang around before the race and v impressed with toilets!
the goody bag was a bit big for the lack of contents but appreciated the kitkat and gatorade at the end.

In short: great morning out for a good cause
In full: This is my most local race and despite being really muddy last week when I did some of the course it was surprisingly ok underfoot.very well organised.toilet queues not too long and very quick results system.I really liked the mixture of road and off road and know the hill from training routes so didn't find it a killer. altho I do most races with an ipod I can still hear instructions and try and be courteous to other runners!

In short: well organised pretty course with pb potential
In full: really enjoyed this race despite being a bit disappointed with my time.the 2 hills were not too serious and some pretty villages on the way round. Also found the start a bit crowded.was weaving in and out trying to pass people for the first 2k.My first race for ages without my i-pod and it was not as bad as I feared! Will definitely try again.

In short: great course and good atmosphere but a bit hot!
In full: Enjoyed the evening and although I got a personal worst would definitely like to do again. The course was very flat and quite shaded with some nice views along the thames although there were some quite sharp turns. The event was very well organised with a party atmosphere.Very secure and efficient bag storage, hot showers and plenty of changing space.

In short: well organised flat course with bonus of seeing lots of animals
In full: I enjoyed it and the weather was perfect for running altho a tad chilly for wandering around afterwards!was worried about laps but didn't seem too bad.Was impressed that I used some toilets with no queues 5 min before the start.my only minor complaint was that the water station was annoyingly placed (about 500m from the finish)because on the last lap when you might want to speed up slightly you have to negotiate people slowing down to take drinks/disposing of cups when they are on their penultimate lap.would definitely do again.
