In short: Hardest road race ever done!
In full: The hardest race I've ever done on the roads. In terms of toughness for Lakes road races I would say this, Windermere Marathon (mainly for distance rather than climbs), Keswick Half, Haweswater Half and Coniston 14. Tough climb a mile in then up and down for next 8 before stinger up Loughrigg Fell. A must do for anyone who runs in the Lakes though!

In short: A top day out.
In full: Very enjoyable race. Took it easy 1st half as was expecting a nasty hill to appear but never materialised. A few long ones but nothing particularly steep, thought overall was easier than Keswick and Coniston 14 in terms of profile.

In short: Good run in the country.
In full: Tough hill around 1.5 miles and then a few humpback canal bridges to contend with but overall a decent enough race.

In short: Disappointing.
In full: Granted nothing could have been done about the weather but surely an announcement could have been made via the website that the course was to be changed to two laps of a 5k, mostly road, course.

In short: A superb off road (mostly) race with some very tough climbing involved
In full: First time out for me on this one but will definitely be back again next year. Free cake at the end is always a winner!
