In short: Annual fixture in my diary! In full: A glorious race. Fantastic scenery and friendly event. Nice T-shirt too. My only gripe is against those (few) runners who, obviously considering themselves above the law, dropped their water bottles on the beach. These may be washed away and take 1000s of years to degrade. Perhaps runners should have a number on the backs of their vests aswell so they can be "shopped" if witnessed littering. The dropping of drinks bottles by a few gives all of us a bad name. Date of review: July 17, 2009

In short: A gem of a half marathon. In full: Apart from the toilet shortage (which was obviously not planned) a lovely race. The early start meant we were able to run through the city virtually car free - great. The hills weren't too bad at all, and it was great to run through villages I had heard of but never been to, and avoid the busy main road of the previous route. Pleased with the quality T-shirt - very sensible of you to save some money and not get them printed (presumably any excess returnable to NB) . I can't be the only person with drawers full of poor quality printed cotton T-shirts that are just used for housework and gardening. The results came out quickly too! Date of review: October 20, 2008

In short: Great day out - lovely atumn colours but dry (mostly) underfoot. Lovely food and mintcake afterwrds and really impressed by the biodegradable cups, bowls and cutlery. probably walked a quarter of it - did anyone manage to run up the very steep stret In full: only negative was that having reached the front of the queue for our numbrers we were told off for not knowing our numbers - there were no notices saying we needed to check our numbers on the lists at the other side of the marquee - the queue was then much longer when we rejoined it. Thank you to all the cheery marshalls! Date of review: November 3, 2007

In short: All the local community were out helping, or watching. Loads of friendly marshalls. Cakes, sandwiches and cups of tea a refreshing change from medals and T-shirts of dubious quality! Date of review: March 11, 2007
