In short: Very good race on a quick course.
In full: Really great race - only suggestion would be to get km markers as opposed to mile markers which will help the faster guys. I've given it a low level for beginner friendliness but that's because this is a fairly serious race and all the better for it I think.

In short: Very good race, but totally spoilt by a poor marshall sending the lead few runners the wrong way. One of the major points of a race should be to get people going the right way!!!
In full: Very dissappointed with a marshall sending me, my friend and another runner the wrong way when we were leading and leading comfortably from the rest of the field. To be fair the race organisers refunded our money which was good of them, but seen as the whole point of a race should be to get the runners going the right way, a low organisational score for what otherwise was a well organised race.

WIll probably be back next year just to get some revenge!

In short: Lovely atmosphere and a very fun race
In full: Tough terrain but then that's all part of the challenge. The horse brass at the end is a magnificent medal and the course makes certain you know you've earnt it!

In short: Enjoyable Race, Fairly Fast Course and Well Organised
In full: Enjoyed the back and out and loopy nature as got to see all the other runners making it far more companionable than the usual loop races where you can be isolated. Only criticism which is why I didn't give the organisation a 5 is that the 9 mile marker was placed about 1/2 a mile from the end, making you think you had further to run. Seemed quite friendly for beginners BUT it is a fairly fast field, my mum seemed okay doing in in 1:38 though. Overall a well run race and very enjoyable as my 10 mile debut picking up a decent time 1:00:42. Thanks to James Britton from the Stortford Club for pacing me round till just before the 9 mile mark when I went for it :D

In short: Strider myself so a little biased but a great run with helpful people.
In full: p.b. of a minute and 10 seconds, looking at the course I wouldn't have called it a pb course but I've run mine there two year in a row.
