In short: Great race yet again. Did it last year. In full: This is a runners race for runners! Forget the high cost boring city centre races, this one has it all. Yes its challenging, but 20 miles is! Date of review: October 6, 2009
In short: Very hard up the hill and very steep down. In full: Definately not fo the faint hearted but having said that, I generally do not like hills but do this race every year, what does that say about it? Its friendly, well priced, not elitist, fantastic atmosphere at base camp and many friendly marshals on the hill, especially those at the trig point. I would recommend shoes with good grip especially if its been wet recently (when is it not wet recently?) Nice one Greg, keep it up. Date of review: August 26, 2008
In short: I will organise it again, thanks for the feed back. In full: Just to say thanks to everyone who entered and thanks to all the marshals and officials, St. John, the WAA, and my wife. I would use timing chips but the price would go up markedly so I don't use them. I had to pay more this hence the price rise but I hope to keep it the same for next year. I'm just glad there were no hurricanes this year and the rain kept off. Again, thansk to you all and see you on the roads. The Plod. Date of review: August 19, 2008
In short: Poor route choice but although some difficulties I enjoyed it. In full: I am proud of Cardiff and would love to see it host a prestigious 10k race. This race could be fantastic and attract 10,000 runers! However, although the main parts were in place, several bits could be a lot better; Route; Use the park lands to full effect. Whats happenned to the Millenium Stadium finish? The Stadium offers good facilities, lets use them, if they'll let us! Start; Chip timing, nuf said. get the walkers to the back. The starter needs to be more assertive! Kiddies race; Great. Do it again. I know its a pian but results for the kiddies race would be nice. Price; No quibbles, it is for charity after all. Only thing was that I gave the Post Office £1.50 to have a number and a chip posted to me! I'm not bothered about the tee shirt but I would rather have given my postage to KRUF.
Having said all that, as I have organised a few races in my time, I know how much hassle it is to do. So faults and all, I am grateful for those who bothered to put this on and I would encourage them to do it again next year. In fact, I'll put my money where my mouth is and I'll contact them to offer my services. Date of review: September 5, 2006
