In short: Despite the snow i got a PB
In full: Did this last year, and completed two rounds this year and even though we had snow to deal with I got a new 15k PB by over two minutes over round 1 so i am very pleased. The marshalls where lovely and helpful. I would like to see km markers as I do get confused around the finish and lap 2 n 3 never knowing where I am so i can pace myself. Really enjoyed both races this year cant do third tho

In short: Nice Scenic Run
In full: I have run here twice now and enjoy the venue cos its flat, i like flat. Very basic race and organised ok. I think it could do with more participants. Managed a PB today so Im pleased despite dodging dogs and kids on trikes. Tbh I only saw two marshals one a the route interchange bit and another directing traffic. Was there more? Anyway, could be a better event in terms of numbers. I would do it again

In short: 2nd time for me
In full: I did this race last year and back again this year..really enjoyed it. Wasnt put off by the laps, as i forgotten my watch i used the clock at the finish to pace and i managed a second fastest time for 10k which is pleasing and knocked 4 mins of last years time. Well organised and enjoyable race..see ya next year

In full: Found it tough but managed a personal best which was surprising! hot and sponges was very much welcomed. The Chip timing wasnt very good! why have it at the end and not the beginning???

In short: wasnt looking forward to this one but was surprised
In full: I enjoyed this one despite it saying it was hilly! i dont think it was, slightly undulating with the hill at mile 2. Was very warm conditions and wish there was more water: sponges was needed when they came. Mile 12-13 was a slog. Goody bag wasnt very generous: medal and a tshirt tho! the past few halfs have been one or the other so points here. Deffo be back next year

In short: Found this one so hard but its there to challenge us with those hills
In full: I felt depressed after this one as I had worked hard on training and was 6 mins out from my average time but not the worse time this year so really cant complain... . found it so challenging as i didnt anticipate the steep inclines and hills. But was please i managed to get round.

Noticed some of the complaints here where a bit mean to be honest. I thought the organisation was excellent, the marshalls lovelly and encouraging. I have been on other half marathons where u get one or two water stations! this had three and a sponge one and a nice lady giving out jellies ! i would have liked to have a medal for such a well planned and executed race.

In short: Def liked the second half better than the first!!
In full: did not like that loooooooooooong hill up to mile 4 water station which was welcomed after mile 6 got in to my stride and paced picked up but until then i struggled..loved the scenes along the canal and running through ashridge: marshalls where plenty, supportive and encouraging.
