In short: A very well organised race over a very fast flat course-Great support along the way,my only criticism is that I missed the first few mile markers as they were a bit small to spot in the mass of runners, but I'll definitely be back next year. Date of review: May 1, 2013

In full: Really enjoyed the run, very nice atmosphere, not too sure about the wisdom of allowing someone to run with their dog though-didn't affect me as he overtook me lower in the course where it was wider, but at the start of the run it was very steep, uneven and loose underfoot and I talked to several people after the race who felt a bit unsafe on this part as the dog and his owner came rushing through-that minor gripe aside was an excellent run Date of review: September 29, 2011

In full: A fairly good event, but they do seem to have some organisational problems. Two major points in particular, one of our faster runners went the wrong way early on in the race,(along with the group he was running with),as there were no marshalls at a point where 3 paths were,he was running at about 1:17 pace and finished in 1:23,so lost lots of time,so not very good on that one.Another of our club members developed a very painful hip at about 5 miles, and stopped with a marshal to drop out.She was told that he could call an ambulance for her,but there was no back up transport for injured runners to the finish, which seems incredible to me-obviously to call an ambulance would have been totally inappropriate,so she ended up walking to the finish.I help organize some spring pre london marathon training runs and we always have at least one car available to transport injured runners to the finish if they drop out,it doesn't take much organization to do this,so I'd give a large black mark to the organizers for this.Personally I didn't encounter any difficulties and found the marshals to be very friendly and the route well marked out.The course is certainly falt and has good pb potential. In short: Enjoyable run over a reasonably challenging route-particularly enjoyed the lolly at the end, lots of water stops on the way round, but was strangely devoid of atmosphere until the crowds at the end Date of review: June 16, 2009
