In short: great half marathon
In full: what a fantastic half marathon. Good course and great crowd support.I loved the medal, has a nice weight to it! I would make the same comments as others - I thought the water stations were a bit erratically located, website results are a nightmare to use (last years result page was easier) Thought the baggage storage was great, apart from being told to move on as soon as I had my bag. It was really good to do a 'big' race close to home and I hope it continues , with a few tweaks it will be a fantastic event... but loose the woman with microphane at the beginning

In short: Interesting race - with room for improvement
In full: Considering it was only the second time it has been staged and it has grown hugely in a year it was OK. I am sure the organisers will take the comments to heart and improve on next year. Very few marshals but they were all lovely and helpful, including the tramp(?) at the first bridge! Finish was very badly signed I only realised it was the finish when I saw my son on the towpath cheering me on. Head wind was a problem as was the demolition site but the organisers cannot solve that. I am sure this race will get better for next year.

In short: great run
In full: my second year running this race so maybe I spotted things this time which I missed last year because of all the mud. Scenery was fanatstic and so was the weather. I only saw one mile marker, (at 4 miles) some places needed marshals and some had too many. No water station half way round even though over 6 miles. I organise a 10k race so I know what is involved and appreciate the problem you can have getting marshals, especially on cold days - so a big thanks to those who did marshal and thanks for the encouragement

In short: Not a good as I had been led to believe
In full: This was only my second half marathon but I have taken part in enough races at other distances to be able to compare. The course was OK and the marshalls and water stations were greatbut the organisation and start and finish was lamentable. No bag store and not enough loos. It took for ever to get out of the car park. No goody bag, which I understand was because I came in after 2 hour - I still paid the same fee as the quicker runners and presumably you knew how many wre entering. The Medal doubled up for both races so I could have run the 5 mile and got the same medal AND a goody bag. Really not sure about doingthis next year even thohg it is local race. I expected more from the organisers.

In short: only seven types of mud?!!
In full: Great race, lots of challenges, great supporters especially at the top of Parbold Hill. Oh and it was muddy and slutchy.

In short: Mud. water, hills, steps, great fun
In full: I really enjoyed it last year when it was cold and frosty but this year was even better with the mud,I even remembered to smile for the cameras at the water! I persauded my sister to do it who hates cross-country, she much prefers road races, and she loved it! It is nice mix of challenges and such a great atmosphere. Love it!! Cannot wait for next year.

In short: good start to Easter - feel less guilty about the chocolate
In full: Very fast race, because of the club runners and the flatness of the course. As a non-club runner, and not that fast, found it cahllenging but good fun. Godd prize at the end for the last two years
