In short: scenic, hilly,
In full: Every year the event is brilliant. Goody bag is always rubbish but I have learnt to accept that and I always return for more!

In short: disappointing at had high expectations of a course with real potential
In full: One cup of water in first 21k possibly as a result of adding a mile or so following the wrong course followed by 2 drink stations within a few hundred yards of each other. Not good. Start was very good and marahalls great. What was the point of the chip with one mat at start and one at finish? End was a disaster - why not follow parkrun course to get 5k at the end? Don't get me going on the medal and T-bag! Oh well at least the marahalls were excellent!

In short: So so much better than London....
In full: Marshall asked me if I was ok at 23 miles - I felt fine (ish) and said so. At 24 miles I hit the wall so she had seen something in me that I was unaware of. I was impressed that the marshalls weren't just directing us but they were watching us to see if we were ok. That marshall obviously saw that I was struggling more than I realised. Lovely race.

In short: Too crowded for me but I know that when I enter so shouldn't knock it!
In full: I'm always telling people that the smaller marathons are just as good if not better but off they go to New York, berlin etc. Try a smaller one and you will love it!

In short: As good as ever and still very very friendly
In full: Very chilly afterwards - why not offer some bin liners at the finish so we can get back to HQ without freezing to death
