In short: great village race
In full: It gave me a great lift, what a way to start a Sunday. Village fair at the end- beer, BBQ, music, chatting with fellow runners- fantastic.

In short: a superb race in a great setting. my kinda race!
In full: Running through the bush was fantastic. I much prefer gravel and dirt tracks to tarmac! A big dip and subsequent hill just past halfway, but otherwise is fairly flat with some gentle slopes.

In short: a great village 5 miler.
In full: The rain didn't dampen the event. Uphill start but glorious downhill later on. Marshalls were magnificent. A ripper.

In full: A great race. Hot cross bun, goody bag, lovely rural course, great friendly atmosphere. I just wish I'd known when the presentation started, I almost missed it!

In short: a good morning out
In full: Was great to catch up with ome other runners and meet some more at this friendly race. Doing multiple laps of the business park maybe not the most scenic, but it was a good practical venue. As said before, it made the last mile recognisable which helped. And I like seeing other runners going the other way when the course doubles back, it can add to it, provided there's enough room. And there was, wide traffic free roads. The country lanes were nice too.
There were drinks stops in strange places (at mile 1?), but there's nothing wrong with having extra drink stations is there? It's not like there weren't enough. The drinks at miles 3, 6 and 9 were appreciated by me! It was a nice cool day for a run too.

In short: a good big event
In full: The support along the way was good and the finish in the stadium is great.
The start was 10 minutes late- which is earlier than usual for this race.
Just one negative really- with the bags not being transported during the race, the start and finish are some distance apart. And the queues at the tent, with that many people it can be hard to avoid but then there's over an hour while the race is on to sort the bags out, so why does this time consuming process need to be done before the race?
I was lucky though and didn't have to wait too long before or after.

In short: great pre-marathon hit-out
In full: good atmosphere, well supported by the locals. Aside from the long slow queue at the baggage tent before the start, the organisation was great. I loved the post-race massage and the yellow beanie- next time I'm at a disco in Moscow I know what I'll be wearing! Well done RRR
