In short: Great race for a first time half marathoner!
In full: Was a great race for my first half marathon, got there nice and early so managed to park near by although was confused as there were no signs to the college green from the hippodrome, ended up going towards the harbourside instead!!. Course was v flat but tough from 9 miles onwards due to twisting and the cobbles. Plenty of drink stations although at 11 miles I really wanted water and not a lucozade, could they have offered both? Goodie bag ok but I've had better, medal was great quality and bag storage excellent. Crowds were great, even though I had no supporters I still felt very much encouraged!!. Would def do this again and improve my time!!

In short: Disappointing again!!
In full: Did this race in 2004 and really loved it, although toilet situation hasn't improved and baggage drop still really worrying - no sense of security at all!!.
Scenery is fantastic which makes this race worth the money.
Got to the race at 8am and dropped bag off quickly, headed straight to the start but as it was so early we decided to stop for a toilet break, what a mistake!!! We queued for 45mins and my partner queued for about an hour, (can't believe the mens queue was worse than the womens!!). We set off for the start line at 9:25 by which most of the 25000 people were in front of us, ended up sneaking up the pavement to get further towards the front as were getting cold and very wet!!. First km was a nightmare, Why do people enter a 10k race and walk from 1k agghhh it drives me crazy. They needed marshalls instructing walkers to stay to the right, and the amount of people who stopped dead in front of me, grrr!!!. So no PB this time as too much swerving took place. Couldn't open my gatorade bottle and had to stop and queue to get it, slipped on the gatorade lids as well!!. Phew calm, this race is good because of the atmosphere and the scenery but definitely needs toilets, staggered start, timing, paper cups and decent goody bags to convince me to do it again next year!!

In short: Awful Race would never do this again.
In full: I ran this in 65 minutes by which time they had run out of water and goody bags etc at the finish, was punishing to us beginners. Would definitely not do this race again.
