In short: Marvellous day!!!
In full: The weather was perfect for such an event! The fact that you could either walk the distances or run them makes it a compelling event. I've wanted to do the event for the past three years and finally took the plunge this year....I was not disappointed. Having elected to do the 30 miles I was determined to finish in daylight. The group that I tagged on to were brilliant company and great motivators that I achieved my objective. Definitely one for next year's diary!
A BIG thank you to all the organisers who did a fantastic job throughout.

In short: Pain is a privilege!!!
In full: I really wanted to do this race as the 'challenge' was too good to miss. With my ultimate goal of getting into the 100 Marathon Club, The Picnic was no.99...so I 'had to' finish out of necessity! It lived up to it's billing of the 'hardest marathon in Britain' and I was thrilled to cross the finish line absolutely 'cream crackered'. However, the feeling of achievement was brilliant and I would like to say a BIG thank you to the organiser and especially the great marshalls who gave us so much encouragement.

In short: The race marshalls were fantastic!!
In full: It was a 'special run' for me as I'd set myself a challenge to do one marathon a month in 2007. Luton was the 12th. of 12! The weather was fowl and the three lap course was mentally tough, but I have to praise the organisers for putting on such a well-run event. The marshalls,(incl the police), were cheery and incredibley supportive of us runners. They deserved the biggest appaulse of the day and I'd like to say a big 'thankyou' to them all!

In short: Thanet roadrunners can be proud of their event!
In full: The location was ideal, on the green not too far from the beaches,(ideal for a family day out,if you brought your family whilst you did the run). The weather was superb with no rain and a slight onshore breeze. The organization was efficient and I was amazed at how many marshalls they had helping out!! I found all the marshalls to be friendly and very motivating as I began to tire in the latter stages of the marathon. There were enough drinks stations ,which at some handed out gels and 'jelly babies'
The course was scenic and testing in parts ,but not such that a 'first-timer' would have had nightmares over it.It was a nice enamelled medal AND a T-shirt to proudly wear after the event.
Overall,I had a really pleasant day with nice memories of Margate. It would definitely be an event that I'd do again.THANK YOU Thanet!

In short: A day to remember....!!!
In full: Apart from the 'welcome downpour' I felt that the weather was kind to us. It certainly is a 'tough run' ,but the feeling of crossing the finish line and then the reflection of your achievement was brilliant!
The thing I enjoyed most about the run was the very friendly spirit in which the event took place. The competitors were, without exception, the friendliest bunch of people that I'd ever run with.....so I'd like to thank them and the organisers for a 'day to remember'!

In short: Friendly, well-organized, scenic, pleasurably painful as it was a challenging first half to the course.
