In short: Brilliant race, real PB potential, very friendly
In full: Great friendly race on a nice flat course round the lake. Marshals were brilliant, and the laps meant you kept on seeing people (in the marathon or ultra) and could pass on encouragement. Great mile markers too (was expecting only every few miles but each mile had a marker). I'll definately be back - well done in organising guys!

In short: Good challenging trail half
In full: Great race with good organisation. A bit undulating throughout, but the that final little hill was steep! Nice to run through Luton's fields and on trails, I'll be back :-)

In short: Great local race .. not that tough really ... I'll be back
In full: Nice atmosphere and a good spread of all abilities, I'll definately be back. There was a tough hill at 8km .. but there are a few lovely downhill stretches too so don't be put of by it being too tough. Strangley some marshalls were really friendy and others looked catatonic!

In short: Great race in lovely scenery ... hilly and hard but that just adds to the challenge
In full: I had a great day, thought it was very well organised and there were plenty of very helpful and happy marshalls. The orange juice and digestive biscuits were very well received ... and to have the Mayor ofering handshakes and at the end great :-) (Also the lucozade sport at the finish were a nice touch).

Its not a marathon for the faint hearted, but there were all speeds enjoying the race so don't let that put you off. There were only about 5 mile markers ... but I didn't mind that at all .... all in all a blinding race through the South Downs.

In short: Good day, well organsed, shame about wind but lucky there was no rain!
In full: 2nd time I've done this event, and the hills didn't seem any easier even though I knew they were coming! We were lucky there was no rain which would have been very demoralising, but the strong wind did its best to sap everyone's strength. I don't mind the course although it is always up and down (which makes me cramp near the end) .. but there's not a lot of spectators so its a bit bleak (marshalls are great though and organisation good too). I'm not sure how good this is for beginners .. or if I'll do it again.

In short: Great race, good parking, lots of water & sponges & flat course ...... but can we turn down the sun?
In full: The race has a lot going for it, no hassle with parking, loads of toilets on offer and a flat course. It turned out to be quite hot (lovely day for everything but trying to set a PB!) and with no shade I think everyone ended up a little slower than they would have liked. There was lots of water & sponges on offer - but I still ended the race feeling parched. I think I'll be back next year ....

In short: Good course for PB .. quite scenic too. But race organisation a bit slack
In full: Had a good race and enjoyed the course, marshals, lucozade & water. Start and end were a bit disorganised ... no countdown, queues at the end, no goodies. But generally a good race ... and a suitable amount of toilets!

In short: Great race - if it was without the intense wind!
In full: Like everyone - the steep section of the hill at mile 3 was quite unexpected! A great race good organisation and lots of friendly support. But......... I have never run in wind that strong and hope to never do it again!
