In short: Humbling experiance thanks to the supperb support
In full: Excellent all round, but it is the unbelievable support that gets you welling up with emotion, whether youve met your personal targets or not.

There is a saying in football that at Anfield the Kop can suck in a winning goal in the final minutes, well thats what it felt like at the end of the London Marathon, totally knackerred but the throngs of humanity willed you on, they where the 12th man and then some!

In short: Fast scenic course, bonus of a Pipe Band finish!
In full: Definite PB potential, very little traffic on roads out and traffic free along the Tarka trail on way back. For a smallish race the organisation was great. Quality t-shirt as a momento.

In short: Very well organised and great value.
In full: Normally do the Richmond Half at this time of year, which is dead flat, and pretty scenic in parts, but Bracknell was much more enjoyable if a bit more challenging. Support and organisation here made it special for me.

In short: Pleanty of changing terrain to make it interesting.
In full: A very well organised event, bit of confusion at the start, but that could have been down to the howling wind.

Liked the sign at about four miles saying "Yes thats the Obelisk", I was just thinking that myself at the time, spooky!

In short: A great multiterean course with some breathtaking views.
In full: Road, trail, rocks, mud, grass, and water mix with some woodland mix with some splendid fews add a generous helping of marshalls, decorate with abundant markers and leave for an hour or two to soak up the experiance. Marvelous.

In short: Top notch organisation, challenging but interesting course.
In full: Brilliant, supportive marshalls. Despite the rural settings pleanty of pockets of supporters and the entuastic crowds at Jamaica Inn made my day. Found the last two hills pretty tough, something to work on for next year.

In short: Fourth time doing this great race.
In full: Great value, six quid gets you a really excellent HQ with good changing/shower facilities, spacious event hall, medal spot prizes, great food stall and if you want it a free post race massage. Really well marshalled, some fast, some scenic, some challenging bits to keep you interested. And the family has voted the comentary at the finish the best they have experianced in each of the last four years. Very well done Honiton RC.

In short: Very well supported by both two and four legged spectactors.
In full: Support was excellent, even through some pretty rural areas. Great marshalling and policing. Only concern was heading back into New Milton along a very busy road with no pavement, the tailend of the half-marathon meant that it became snail paced for sub 3:30 marathon runners, personally I wasnt too bothered as I was jiggered, but I could imagine a fair bit of frustration/danger for those at the buisiness end of the marathon finishers.

In short: A good 10 mile event.
In full: A small scale race, the course is pleasant to run along, especially the return leg along the cycle track. Well marshalled and pockets of support along the way much appreciated. Hopefully despite the small number of entrants it will become established and become as succesfull as the 10K or even the half marathon.
