In short: SOCKS??????
In full: A nice race, but I don't see where the undulating raing comes from. Although the race is a circuit, there are some big hills to get up.
The most disappointing part of the race was the pair of cheap socks from the market!! Not exactly the greatest momento for a race, but I will still be back next year to beat my time.

In short: Fantastic
In full: A fantastic run. Really enjoyed this run, even though this is my first time running off road in this manner. Did leg 4, with a really hard climb, but well worth all the effort. Will be glad to be back next year.

In short: Chuffing HOT!!!!
In full: Another good race which would have been well planned if there had of been enough water at the first feeding station. Slight delay of 45mins at the beginning, which was no fault of Ron and the team, but the heat was extreme...not something you would expect at Blackpool. The run along the lower walk is very boring, but at least it is flat, until you get to Bispham. I will be back next year.....Cheers Ron!

In short: Fantastic
In full: This is now one of my favourite races. After last year (2004) I said I would do this again, and make sure I have some marked improvement! Well I am going to do the run again, no promises with the improvement in time.

Really looking forward to this one!

In short: Very Good Race, Very steep within first 4K
In full: A very enjoyable race. The hills are very steep near to the beginning, but then you get to run down them. Scenery is beautiful up the top of the hills, and everyone seemed to be very friendly. Will definately do this one again!

In short: 49000 people is a few to many for my liking
In full: I have now done this race for 5 years on the bounce, and with the new price hike, there is no way I will be doing this race again. I like the race, the atmosphere, and all the Newcastle locals cheering you on, but it is too much like a cattle market. Motorways and Dual Carrageways are a bit too boring for me.
There are more races, just as well orgainised, and a sight cheaper. I can run half a dozen local runs for the price of this one.
Sorry BUPA, you have priced me out of this race!

In short: Running in the snow covered field of Lancashire
In full: A very nice run along the roads around Clithereo, especially with the snow making for much nicer veiws.
The runners where very quiet, with little or no banter or conversation. But if that isn't important, then a very enjoyable run.
The terrain is up and down, but none of the ups are steep of long, just steady climbs.
Will be doing this one again next year!

In short: Very Busy
In full: An enjoyable race. The setup of the day is for fund raising, and for getting people running for the first time. The streets where very busy, especially at the start, but you always find people right at the front of the race, who are walking before the first mile. Don't understand why! I cant complain, I started with the orange numbers, despite having a white number. This is a must, however for people wanting to get encouraged into running!
