In short: Hilly Hell
In full: My first Marlow half marathon race and I had been pre-warned that it was err.. "hlly". Having completed Henley Half a few weeks ago I tought I was stronger. But NO !! This is a really tough but beautiful course, the weather was shocking but the marhsalls and little kids with water were so motivating and I absolutely loved my t-shirt at the end. I was hard enough. But never again.

In short: Yateley Delivers Again !
In full: I've been taking part in this race for over 3 years now and I really enjoy it! Easy race pack pick up, chip timing and parking really helps.
The course itself is mostly flat although there are a few little hills the first two miles, but nothing too challenging. Very friendly marshals and spectators helps.

Collecting my chocolate snacks and milkshake at the end was a real treat! Better goodies than some long distance races. Yateley delivers on organisation and value for money year on year. A great summer series and I’ll definitely be back for more chocolates... I mean races. !

In short: My 1st XC !
In full: I really enjoyed this race, the weather was glorious and it was very well organised. Didnt enjoy the last long hill at the end nor the ditches but it was worth it! I'm definitely going to make sure its my last race of the year !

In short: Hot hot hot !
In full: The race was well organised with plenty of parking space. Some directions in the handbook itself would have come in handy. Beautiful scenery which was extremely motivating, however I crumbled after 7 miles as it was just so hot...... Dont think i'd do it again as it was nightmare race for me. Definetly not one for a P.B !

In short: Windy Hell !
In full: As I sat in my car waiting for the start of this race, i've never almost turned the ignition and driven back home. It was VERY windy and dull and my motivation was low. I'm doing my first FLM this year and I must say its the only motivation that got me to the starting line. I had to stop at 3 miles for a "what the heck am I doing?" moment. I managed to carry on thanks to a very kind runner and managed the remaining in a reasonable time despite the wind. The course was flat as usual and the wind wasnt so bad in some areas. Although in some it almost brought me to a halt. This was my 4th Maidenhead 10 and its now a permanent fixture in my running diary. I'll be there next year, just hope the weather is a bit better ! Reccommended !

In short: Excellent Pre FLM race !
In full: It was wet, windy and cold but it was a great race. The sweets were really appreicated at 10 miles and although there was little supporters there was agreat atmosphere amongst the runners.
Would do it again !

In short: Hills Hill Hills !
In full: Really enjoyed the race, however there could have been some guidance as to where the starting line was. The atmosphere was wonderful, but the race was hilly ! Very hilly, but still worth the trip. I'd do it again!
