In short: Once again, this run is sheer pleasure!
In full: This event is fantastic, whilst the start this year was a little delayed, and the weather was once again unkind, the course, support and organisation is just worth the expense to enter. Got to be a guaranteed PB every time!

In short: Good flat course - would be good for a pb if your going for one!
In full: Look forward to doing this again another time, with london on the horizon, and bath half last weekend, took it easy, enjoyed some pleasant rural scenery with some light support along the way. Very enjoyable and pleasurable day as i was running steady! Well worth a look next year

In short: I love this event but the start arrangements still need some work!
In full: Goody bag - lots of bits and pieces and decent medal. I love the course and the atmosphere, the music just before queens square outstanding every year, good for a lift. Perfect for first half marathon runners/beginners. The only negative was the start once again was chaos. You often have people complaining about slower runners starting too high up, but what can you do if there's no organisation to get you in the right time slots? Still needs some work for next time, but i'll definitely be back again next year!

In short: Overall a decent race with a respectable course and excellent support on route from spectators!
In full: The major disappointment with this for me if the choice of an 11:30 start, which on an unusually warm day like today made it much more difficult than if the start had been earlier.
The critical problem at this event was not being offered any water at the finish, having finished very dehydrated due to the unexpected warmer day, this could make you feel very unwell. Not very impressive.
The course itself is relatively dull except for the fantastic supporters keeping you going, good organisation, not the greatest goody bag/medal but nice to have some memento of the event.

In short: Despite horrendous wind and rain, still smashed my PB!
In full: Because of the weather there wasn't really any spectators to egg you on except for some friends that stuck the weather out! But I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to run around the circuit to get a feel for the whole course as driven at numerous events. And to be able to smash my PB in rain and strong wind, means that it is an exceptionally quick course where who knows what time you could achieve in perfect conditions....

In short: Pleasant day for a steady run but disappointing organisation this year
In full: I was disappointed that this year at so few toilets that caused chaos for the last 10 minutes before the start. Not the usual goodie bag at the finish having to try and hold everything rather than having the bag like previous years. and most frustrating being told to park in the overflow car park, never had to do that before, was generally disappointed with the organisation this year, but no major issues.

In short: Pleasant scenic route with a few ups and downs, but worth the trip
In full: As several other people i'm sure, when i woke up this morning I was tempted to give this race a miss even though i'd entered already. But not wanting to let motivation be a problem for the new year, i drove the 2 hours to get there and came back home with a PB, challenging course but no really difficult inclines! Well worth a look, well organised, just a shame the ladies toilet smelt of sick obviously from the night before

In short: Loved the flat comfortable course a good opportunity for PB
In full: Only negative i would say was the steeplechase as someone called it on the beach, with no warning that it was there, was very easy to get injured getting across the divot. Think they should have put signs up warning you.

In short: This event reminds me of why i love running! It's just brilliant!
In full: As soon as i came to a stop in the car after the early morning two hour drive down, a smile came across my face, as my second time at this event, i just love the scenary, the organisation is fantastic, and the course is perfectly flat for PB potential! Only minor picking was the medal was poor in comparison to the year before, just to look at it looks plastic, but it's not so bad when you take it out of the packet! Still this run is worth every penny, rain or shine i didn't mind in the fantastic company of Jo Pavey!

In short: Excellent course - but highly disappointing in many ways!
In full: I agree with most people in respect of the congestion, i have never in all the races i've done seen so many stumbles/falls by runners, and ignorant runners, we're all trying to do our best but think about it before you dive in front of someone causing them to fall please!
My major complaint was with the parking, receiving a lift from two disabled persons (not in wheelchairs), being told that the nearest place to park was the civic centre, only 10 mins walk. Really? Not for disabled people, the organisers need to think more about organisation, think about the spectators as well!
I'm disappointed in general with the race, despite a good course its hard to run well with idiots acting dangerously.
