In short: Very good race. Certainly got the weather for it.
In full: Everything went well and the only gripe I had was beyond the organisers control. Some of the idiots in cars trying to overtake runners at speed on narrow lanes. Some people have no brains! Other than that, great stuff. Carry on as you have for many years.

In short: Ignoring the start delay this was a very well organised race.
In full: the atmosphere was great through the majority of the course. If there was a way to liven up the park sections it would have been brilliant.

In short: Sun and mud.
In full: That was tough. First the big climb then mud, lots of it. Just saps the energy from the legs. All good stuff.

In short: Good route if a little congested at the start
In full: Needed a proper water station for those that wanted water. Didn't bother me personally but it did upset some people. I though the start would have been better on wider tracks at first to give the field a chance to spread out. Anyway, I ran my best 10k time in years so happy days! I'll be back next year...

In short: No one to blame for the heat, but organisation a joke...
In full: My first Marathon and I got round in one piece. The organisation at the end was a joke. Delirious Marathon runners should not be thrown out of the finish area to trek up the outside of the course just to meet their supporters. As it was, I didn't make it and ended up in the first aid tent. I'm sure if I'd been able to sit down close to the finish in some shade with my family to recover this would not have been necessary.
The transport links for supporters and runners alike were a joke. Shuttle buses dropped supporters off over a mile away from the finish. I didn't realise my wife had to be in training as well as me for the big day! We ended up jumping on a public bus on the way back as I didn't fancy the trek up the hill to the clueless shuttles. This really soured what should have been an uplifting experience. Supporters were great through the towns, but there were quiet parts of the course. Think an earlier start may have helped with the heat. Saw some quite disressing sights at the side of the road were people had collapsed.

In short: Once again, an excellent way to get in the Christmas spirit.
In full: Weather was cold, but sunny and clear and made for glorious views of the Langdales. Almost made you forget the challenging inclines along the valley. Great race. I'll be back next year.

In short: Great race in great weather.
In full: A lot of club runners in this one, but still felt friendly to the beginners and unattached. Glorious weather made the run better. A memento with the name of the run on it would have been nice as in previous years. Credit Crunch biting?
