In short: No frills it was, but a fast course In full: To be fair they advertised no frills, and delivered! Accurate mile markers, but let down by lack of warning exactly how long it would take to get from the car park to the start (2.5k approx!!) It lead to some very rushed arrivals at the start. Also for the cost, no chip timing and a cheap stock medal seemed a bit of a cop out, it's not like there were even any road closures or policae to pay for.... Still, you can't get a flatter course (my hamstrings don't think that's a good nthing now though!!) Date of review: June 7, 2009
In short: You don't get flatter! In full: awesome flat course, laps with plenty of support. If you want a PB tho don't enter all the races for the weekend or it may be a challenge ;) Date of review: June 1, 2008
In short: great course although I don't think 'flat' warns you for the sneaky hills! In full: Great organisation, awesome medal, would have been a faster run if my shoulder hadn't have packed up at 6k. Thanks to the guy in the yellow top who checked it was alright!
If it doesn't clash with training i'll be back next year! Date of review: August 12, 2007
In short: Excellent yet again In full: Mike and his team have done wonders to make this one of the smoothest run races of it's size, tiered starts, SIS Go at the finish, freidnly marshalls and a PB worthy course - what more could you want!
The weather wasn't the best but it didn't ditract from what remains my favourite 10k course! Date of review: March 4, 2007
In short: Great Course would be even better if dry ;) In full: One of my local training runs perfect for a race, well marshalled - a few slight niggles on the organisation but was a great day none the less and the weather held out. Would definetly run it again next year.
Relativly small field but good mix of ability Date of review: March 3, 2007
In short: fantasic although very muddy and slippy! In full: Yet again it did not disappoint. Went for the 15k this time, not sure i really had wanted to swim through the lake a third time tho. Great organisation, great crowd - enough said! Date of review: February 11, 2007
In short: Excellent PB potential and good atmosphere In full: Lacking supporters in some places, wind down the home stretch helped a lot tho. Maybe a few too many walkers for my liking - could they not keep to one side to save doubling the race distance for the runners?! ;o) Date of review: October 10, 2004
