In short: Perfect event for a race rather than a fun run In full: Out and back race. Gently undulating and straight. Slightly monotonous. I feel this race was set up for the serious runner which suited me as I flew up from Somerset to do a reasonable time. The drinks stations were fantastic, alternating water and Lucozade every 5k (sports cap bottles!). Like other commenters, I too found the last 2 miles very lonely with no support. Was that wind in my face for the last 3 miles, or was I imagining it? Loved the bagpipes - could have been more. Thanks to the supporters - could have been more. Thanks to the Jelly Baby team. Free tea, rolls and biscuits were really appreciated. I'll be back to run a better time. Oh - almost forgot to mention the spectator who had set up an amplifier in the rain playing loud punk music (The Dammed) - made my day! Date of review: April 24, 2007
