In short: Lots of hills handilyespecially from 18miles on
In full: My first marathon. Due to the bad weather the expected views didn't materialise for 90% of the race. There are two sets of steps the second one being 215 that hurt all the way. Getting to the finish was special

In short: 30k's a long way I ended up doing 20.2 miles but glad to do so
In full: Nice race with quirky features. Mile markers up to 7 and then stopped inaccurate. Not as scenic as I expected but some beautiful views. Some poor route markings led me to follow a diversion of about 70 runners. I would definitely do it again and pay more attention to my map.

In short: Seems to have a lot of inclines
In full: 2009. Enjoy the route around town but not too depressing. My local half but not great for PB potential. Quite a challenging course but rewarding at thye end.

In short: I liked running round the water
In full: Nice event. Very flat course so PB potential. Crowded at the start but ok. Warm day with a bit of wind. I really like running around the lake but the scenery is quite monotonous. Better time next year.

In short: Nice course-bit slippy but it is Jan. Would like distance markers. 3 tough inclines for me.
In full: No parking problems, £2 fee no worries. Felt excited at the start and enjoyed it all even if the big slopes did me. Look forward to next year and happier now I know what to expect. Lovely views.Felt great afterwards something to train for over Christmas
