In short: Terrible organisation
In full: I have to agree with the comments made by the previous reviewer. This is the 9th time I have done this race with friends and have come to expect mediocre organisation with a good atmosphere but this year really takes the prize for the most badly organised event ever. As the other reviewer said it took over an hour and a half to get off the car park the car park attendants being less usful than a chocolate teapot. The start was 25 mins late, while I agree the organisors were not responsible for the weather an extra 25 mins waiting time is not what you need on a wet and cold day. I was also told by my mum that the organsiation for the walkers at the start was a total shambles. This was my ninth race for life but after today I won't be going back for a tenth.

In short: Excellent
In full: Much, much better course than last year. Personally not one of my better races as started feeling ill halfway round but up to that point was really enjoying it. Will definitely do it again next year if they keep the same course. Yes it was hilly at the start and the hill at the end was a bit nasty but don't they all have hills at some point. The event was very well organised, the fact that water came in bottles with tops on was very much appreciated. Also liked the support of spectators along the way. My only negative point on the organisational side was that I feel the timing chips should have been sent out with the race numbers. I know the official reason was that they didn't want to send chips to people that didn't run but you could have picked chip up a few days before and still pick up an injury or illness the day before the race, why not just send an envelope for its return like other races do.

In short: Great race, would definitely do this again
In full: Race was fairly well organised. Route was scenic with challenge of mud hill. Only disappointing factor was that it was shorter than claimed (my forerunner said 14.8km).
