In short: excellent race
In full: Like most I entered as a pre-marathon training run.it was superb, from being directed into the car park a stones throw from the start and HQ, to someone at the door answering all queries, fantastic marshalls, beautiful course, great tshirt and much more.tried to read all quotes at KM markers, but struggled without mt specs on but did smile at"dont wish for smaller hills, wish you were better".great to test gels and drinking over a longer race.thanks for a great day out.

In short: superb race
In full: This gets better every year. loved the rocket at the start, Chariots of fire to Benny Hill music as mentioned.Marshals were a credit to the club.Nice touch having names on numbers. Chip timing seamed to be wrong but soon corrected. Great T-shirt ,goody bag with radiator key??ruler ,meal worms.etc.A pb of 3 mins off last year made it an enjoyable morning and worth the trip .The course literally goes round the houses but is so varied it passes by in a flash. got 3 coffees at the end-£1.35. Bargain. no complaints at all.

In short: Tough but stunning
In full: Entered this as my first marathon. Took it very steady and was really pleased to finish. Scenery was lovely, course varied, goody bag superb, marshals excellent. This race was areal credit to the organisers. Route over 27miles as I missed a turn and organisers took decision to alter it for our safety, which was fine by me, as there were some really muddy slippy bits.would have been much worse if they hadnt altered it. Some killer hills, especially at mile 25!!!

In short: A scenic route with afew short climbs
In full: I also have done this 5 years on the trot now and love this race. The chip timing was great, giving more accurate times for those starting further back. It seemed much busier this year, as I didnt get a smooth pace till nearly at Torver. The views are stunning throughout the course and are a great distraction.. The finish line was abit chaotic but other than that I would certainly recommend this race

In short: Scenic, rolling and well organised
In full: The added improvements from last year made this even better, email with postcodes to all car parks, loads of ports-loos, technical Tshirt! This is a pretty ,undulating course with the majority traffic free. great atmosphere and a good mix of club and non-club runners

In short: Hilly, pretty and fun
In full: LOve this scenic race. The hills are a killer and wish I'd done alittle more hill training but the support around the course and views take your mind off it all.More water stops than expected but as the weather is so unpredictable, was well planned as it would have been needed if warm . Will be back

In short: a scenic lap around pretty countryside
In full: a good HQ at the local school, adequate loos etc. A pretty course with just a couple of steady short hills. 2 water stations were at good spots although i certainly cant run and drink from a cup, makes you take a breather. pleasant drink at the pub after. prize givings were too late for us to wait, as had to travel back which was ashame as our club won a couple. 1pm would have been better. apart from little whinge i love this race.
