In short: Great 10K with lovely atmosphere
In full: A Highly enjoyable and reasonably challenging 10K through the beautiful countryside around Sherston.

The atmosphere of the whole event was extremely friendly and I look forward to next year's event - though I hear the format may be slightly different....

One thing I hadn't come across before, was aside from the normal prizes, there were prizes for the first Sherston Man and Woman - I thought this was a briliant idea that should be adopted by bigger races to encourage more local entrants.

A huge well done to Sherston for a great day out.

In short: My favourite race!
In full: This race cannot be beaten for friendliness, organisation, value and just sheer enjoyment!

Chippenham Harriers once again put on race that puts the bigger ones, especially Bath, to shame.

Hard to believe this year could live up to last year's triumph, but if anything it was even better.

The sun quite rightly shone on this glorious day, making it for me once again the best race of the year, even if my time sufffered slightly through less than ideal training :-S So glad to see it's back for 2011. A massive well done and thankyou to Chippenham Harriers, all the marshalls and supporters round the course.

Simply great.

In short: The magic has gone.....
In full: As you would see from my previous reviews of this race, I've always raved about it and looked forward to it coming up in the race calender.

However this year I found it to be a damp squib and not because of the weather...

The upbeat, buzzy atmosphere of past years seemed to be entirely absent and although I enjoyed the race itself, I felt no desire to hang around afterwards as I have in years gone by.

The decision to give out a medal rather than a T-shirt which came in last year, I think i s a big mistake too(I can only imagine this is to keep cost down). I actually think medals rather than T-shirts are a waste of time....what are you ging to do with a medal? chuck it in a shoebox never to look a it again....and this one doesn't even have the year on it!?

Anyway, I can only imagine that the organiser or sponsor (or both) of this race have changed, 'cos the magic had gone, for me anyway.

I the last 6 years I've missed this race once and was gutted...I can can honestly say that now I wouldn't really care..

Will probably give it one more go next year, but only 'cos there's an excellent pub a few miles down the road in Mildenhall 'The Horseshoe'.

Sort it out Rambsbury, you used to be so special!

In short: Teriffic race and a splendid day out!
In full: This is the third time I've done this race and I've thoroughly enjoyed it every time. You couldn't ask for a friendlier atmosphere and the whole day leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy! The circuit itself takes in some glorious scenery and is a great mix of on and off-road and the organisation of the whole day is spot on. Well done Ramsbury!

In short: Fantastic race
In full: Fantastic race as usual. This is the fourth time I've done this one and the atmosphere and organisation were tremendous as ever. As others have mentioned, the congestion at the start has been relieved greatly by the new feed-in point a couple of hundred yards from the start. Definately one of my all time favourite races!
