In short: A slick race to run and slick organisation
In full: Really enjoyed the route, scenic, flat and great PB possibilities. The Marshalls were the stars of the day, they were at every junction to guide you and had a smile and cheery encouragement for all. Good water stops with sensible cups (not wasteful expensive bottles, and there were bins-we don't like to litter!) The parking and start finish area were just as well planned and this made the whole experience a really positive one. Thumbs up Purple Patch I'll look out for your other events. Bigger companies could learn a lot from you guys on how to host a race. Thank you, I'll be back!

In short: Its why I love to run, to have my cake and eat it!
In full: Another super run in beautiful grounds. The organisers, trusty Scouts and BVR all put on a fabulous event again. The course delivers challenge in the most moreish way, just like the refreshments before and after the race. Great atmosphere, lots of cheer at the finish and welcome smiles all round. The second half of the 10k deviates just enough to allow you to lap the walkers without any hold ups, the organisers have thought of everything and heard the feedback from last year to make it a successful run. So nice that all the family can take part whilst I indulge in a favourite run. Thanks for getting the Blubells to bloom on the day too!

In short: Definitely would award a badge!
In full: Great organisation from the scouts, from the easy parking to the well marshalled course and the lovely refreshments, give the scouts a badge! The location was terrific, the course offered a great mix of hills, flats and mixed terrain. Just when you thought it was getting too tough the cross country paths would take a twist and you were wowed by the next section. Lovely to have a whole family event and this gave a good atmosphere to the event. The assembly area at the start resembled a village fair with bacon butties and fresh tea coffee to run for! Please do it again next year and Im sure the family and I will return to conquer those hills. As a critical friend I'd like to add a request for water at the very finish, but it was there at the assembly area. Named certificates was a nice touch too. see you next year.

In short: Great race around a great place.
In full: As everyone else has said this is a very well organised race. The route was a lovely mix of town with great supporters and countryside where you can grimace in private and cover the miles before returning to enthusiastic support for the home finish. Well done and thank you Fleet & Crookham club for hosting a great event.

In short: Great course, good organisation shame about the weather!
In full: My first GSR, the flat scenic course lived up to its reputation and despite the weather the support was great all the way around. We followed advice and got there by 9am and managed to street park which allowed quick getaway. If weather had been better we would have stayed and enjoyed the ample hospitality and atmosphere. Much thanks to good marshalling and organisation. But why so many water bottles when a wet sponge would do and the lucosade sport juice packs were lethal once thrown across the course. All in all though a good event that will survive despite the parking complaints today, I'm sure if more had stayed then a staggered exit would help get cars off the common.

In short: Challenging but fun race in great location
In full: My third time here, always well organised with lots of support from crowds and marshalls. How come its always such a hot day, but the plentiful water and sponges keep you going. Shame it gets crowded at the start with a few slower runners causing congestion. Overall though a great race in a great venue, I shall be back next year!
