In short: excellent organisation
In full: My thanks to the organisers of the Leicester Marathon - the organisation of the event was excellent with the route extremely well cordoned and marshalled. The marshalls were friendly and helpful. I would be very happy to do this again.

In short: Hot and Hilly
In full: My 4th year in a row doing this, and more hilly than I remember - the heat may have had something to to with this. A very well organised event and better signed than most similar events. I always expect the "marathon" distance to be over 26.2 miles and this year I made it just under 27. Any chance of fixing this?

Very friendly reception at the drinks stations, it's great to see this event getting more popular year by year. Well deserved. Thank you.

In short: excellent event
In full: My third year in a row doing the 54321 - I keep coming back and the organisation gets better and better each year. A tremendous effort goes into the excellent signposting - I didn't even open my pages of directions this year. Friendly and frequent water stations. This run comes highly recommended!

In short: My hottest marathon ever!
In full: My PB course from last year, but this year was a scorcher! It was obvious that the organisers had listened to the weather forecast, because there seemed to be extra drinking water and sponges compared to what they had advertised. The spectators made the day for me - as the temperature soared, out came the garden hoses, sprinklers and water-pistols for anyone who wanted a quick shower. A well organised and well marshalled event well worth considering. I definitely recommend it.

In short: Good to have a new marathon at this time of year
In full: The flat course was well signed and marshalled. The organisation at the start was disappointing - the start venue was a bit small for the numbers involved and it was a pain to have to queue for numbers, chips and tags which most other events would have posted out - the late start was irritating - also the route was a little on the short side by my calculations. However the marshals were friendly and it was a different experience to run such a flat route. There was quite a lack of spectators so next year I'll bring my ipod along - I expect this will become an increasingly popular event and with some organisational fine tuning it could be the one to watch!

In short: well organised event.
In full: Excellent race, extremely well marshalled. Good atmosphere. A few hills but not off-putting. My only criticism is that the baggage area was up 2 flights of stairs and was not kept secure.
