In short: Well organised and good atmosphere.. In full: First time here and despite bitter weather thought this was a very well organised race with numerous and enthusiastic marshalls throughout. The course was a lot faster and flatter than I had imagined although traffic on some of the roads made progress a bit tricky. Could have done with a banana or Mars bar at the finish but overall a good event and would run it again.. H&P Date of review: March 25, 2013

In full: I am 53 years old and can do without cheap medals and momentoes, not sure what people expect, it is the race that counts, and I thought that overall this is a fair course and well organised, the entry price was probably a bit high but contrary to popular myth it costs a lot of money up front to put on road races these days.Done it before and will undoubtedly be back again... In short: Really scenic race, well organized and def one of the best in Kent In full: Done this a few times and thought it was as good as ever, the race start was a definite improvement. Dont really get these people moaning about wanting a decent medal etc, we are all adults and surely we pay for the race itself not some stunning momento we think we deserve, similarly with the hall itsef, ok it was a bit cramped but the organizers have to work with what they've got, they cannot always magic up parking spaces so someone can park right outside.Stop whingeing and enjoy the run!!! 2011 Cardiff Half Marathon

In full: Second run at Cardiff and I thought the route was actually better than a run through some dull suburbs though the long dual carriageway section is probaby not to everyones liking. Major gripe was the at the start where the queues for the toilets was a joke, my wife and I waited for thirty minutes and ended up leaving the queue as it was by then only ten minutes before the race start, not that there was really a rush as the pen system was not really working and we had to work our way forward as best we could, it still took me almost twenty minutes to cross the start line - With all the wide boulevards near Cardiff Bay surely a start not crammed into a back road would have made more sense. I will probably give Cardiff another go sometime but it is somewhat typical of these big city races which charge a lot of money and provide relatively little back, most of the could learn plenty from the smaller club run events held up and down the country.. In short: Hot and hard today... In full: Phew, that was really hot out there today, well done to all as I imagine all found this a challenge. I was really surprised how pleasant the route was, a number of gentle but long ascents in the first half and I didn't have a lot left in the tank for the second half, but all in all a well done to Sittingbourne Striders for a really nice event. In full: Hard, hilly and this year fairly muddy in parts, very well done TWH , great value and faultless organistion, other races could learn a lot from this.. Date of review: September 11, 2011

In full: Bravo Istead, as brilliantly organised as ever, many thanks to all the marshalls, scouts and ladies with the cakes... Race was also same as ever - relentless, but with fantastic scenery, I was so slow I had plenty of time to admire all the hills!! H&P Date of review: June 19, 2011
