In short: A great local race
In full: Never done anything like this before - always sticking to biggish half marathon races.
How refreshing this was.
Challenging with one long steep hill.
But the countryside was beautiful Chiltern Hills, running alongside a lake, past a great country house, across fields etc
Nice t-shirt at the end as well.

In short: Very well organised
In full: Extremely well organised from the parking to the baggage drop, starter, drink stations, marshals, support......
Agree the many turns and small undulations together with up hill over last couple of miles made this more challenging than one might immagine. Its still quick though.

In short: New impoved version........wasn't
In full: Disappointing as did this for 1st time last year and loved - new improved version wasn't.
Things to improve:
1) Start 10k more than 2 minutes before 1/2 (its not rocket science!)
2) Start of course needs longer before narrowing - although above would help
3) Don't have uphill at the end.
Still - the parking was good..........

In short: Good early seasonal warmer upper
In full: Done this a few times now and overall think its a tough course - the worst bit being the drag up to the finish from c.11 miles.
Nice to have chip timing and energy drinks (suppose they don't make small bottles).
Overall I think this is a great race and well organised.
Personally I expect a medal and not bothered about a cheap t shirt so that was the only disappointment.

In short: Wet, muddy and slippy but enjoyable
In full: Wet, muddy and slippy but enjoyable race.
2nd time for me so expected conditions to be bad - its just that time of year.
Cowley to Watford is slightly harder but its really the mud that is energy sapping as I was skating in places.
Organisation was fine and the marshal's friendly - all apart from the bag drop which was a shambles. You really can't leave runners on a damp winters day standing around for 30 minutes getting cold whilst waiting for the van to turn up. Big black mark - but we're a forgiving bunch.

In short: Great race - lose the plastic cups
In full: Great race. Friendly. Very well organised. Scenic. Hot. Killer last few miles.
Only suggestion for improvements:
lose those awful plastic cups - small bottles are what you need
mars bar at end
Sure everyone would pay £1 extra for that!

In short: 1st timer - quick
In full: I really enjoyed this as race is pretty flat - so quick and PB is on the cards.
Got there early so car park was empty, went into reception for a sit down and a chat, ran a quick warm up and joined the race.
Start I thought was fine as quickly joined main road and pretty wide - although as always get a few idiots who are way ahead of where they should be (despite chip timing).
Well marshaled course and good support.
Well sign posted.
Good water stations - no cups which I hate.
Course was as flat as you can expect with no hills which makes a very pleasant change.
Got very windy at about mile 8/9 which was tough and at this point probably slightly up hill.
Couple of miles to finish were easier.
Finish was fine for me but see from comments things deteriorated.
Queuing for loos - think the women should shout a the men who should use the woods!
Warm down and straight out of the car park.
Really enjoyed it.
Now firmly embedded in my racing calender.
