In short: A stunning event with a bit of bite In full: This event has gone from strength to strength and it is great to see son many runners and such huge support this year. The route is stunning and testing giving a great sense of achievement as you finish on the stadium track.
This event is meticulously organised and the logistics normally great. It is pity that the bus company let us down, but we are hardy lot and the great cameraderie at this event meant that it did not spoil the atmosphere.
In short: A really special event, challenging, scenic and well organised In full: This is always a special event and superbly organised. Edinburgh organisers could learn a thing or two from this one. Even the pouring rain could not dampen the spirit of this event. Date of review: October 2, 2006
In short: Finish not so good In full: I thought that the changes to the finish were not well thought out. Having to finish with an incline and not being able to see the finish until the last 50 meters or so was not good pychologically.
I received first aid at the finish and it was fine. Date of review: September 17, 2006
In short: this challenging marathon is superbly organised, well supported and a glorious run through the highlands. A great race for a first marathon, as long as you respect the challenge Date of review: August 24, 2004
In short: A challenging hilly trail run round Crief in Perthshire. It is a small event, but well run and one of the friendliest, most welcoming events I have come across. Date of review: August 24, 2004
