In short: The best race in the world.Only 2 small changes could improve it .
In full: Change 1.Get rid of the bus service as it just irritates people and a 15 min walk to the start should be small beer to people entering the toughest road marathon on Europe.
Change 2.The coverage on S4C is very Welsh-Centric and grates somewhat on an Englishman who has run the last 5 races and praised the race to the hilt and could be said to confirm English stereotyping of Welshman as having a huge chip on their shoulders.

In short: Joyous
In full: Having ran sub 3 hours at Abingdon last week, nearly dieing of boredom in the process, this made all the training worth while.I had intended to just do 12 miles and pull out at Bedgellert but the support was as good as the weather and scenery.I ran the whole bloody thing in 3.46 my slowest ever but easily my most gratifying. This race is simply the best marathon in the world.Jeff Mason

In short: fast ,wet and quiet
In full: perfect running conditions slowed only a little by the puddles between 20 and 23 miles.support was sparce but vocal.the bloke sat on his deckchair at the 11 mile turn around point was a bit of a legend!the runner who thinks this is hilly wants to get out more,I took 30 mins off my snowden time.as far as I could see everything ran like clockwork which is no small feat when there are two seperate starts miles from the race headquarters and finish line.well done matlock, wootton road runners will be back next year....jeff mason

In short: Amazing!
In full: This was my first marathon and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The vile weather didn't dampen the spirit of the race, in fact, i would say it added to it. The rain came down in sheets, with hurricane like winds blowing with it. The experience was almost surreal. The course was tough, but beautiful. The hill at 21 was more like a mountain, but the descent that followed made the climb worthwile. I flew down, screaming like a banshee, and laughing all the way. It was the best part of the race. It is definately a race for all standards of runners, and people new to marathons should not be put off by the hype. This is a race all about acheivement and less about PB's.

In short: Lovely day with lots of friendly spectators to cheer you on!
In full: A nice flat race along the river. The marshalls were great and very encouraging to all runners. Agree with the confusion with the sachet of mayo in the goody bag. Can anyone from Bedford AC enlighten us??
