In short: Excellent race - one of the best
In full: If you want one of those eyeballs-out ultra fast races which are often in dull boring scenery [Bath, surprisingly, springs to mind]then don't come here. There are hills, oh yes. But there is excellent organisation, lovely atmosphere and scenery to die for [and I felt as if I was close in places!]. The weather was perfect - in fact just about everything, apart from my time, was perfect. I'm glad its future has been secured but I hope BHF don't spoil it.For example, lousy T shirt - thin and garish - went straight to recycling; Nationwide's was much better. And they're bound to hike the entry fee. We'll see. For the moment, great - a kick in the teeth for those who keep knocking Swindon.

In short: Potentially fast end of year run
In full: No problems finding it if you look at the website. Largely flat course apart from one slight climb. Finishes in industrial estate with quite a walk back to church hall but no complaints - quite glad I went. No medals/mementoes but got home in time for footie results [duh].

In short: Great race - well organised
In full: It can get windy up there but best conditions yet this year. Can't understand anyone griping about a 300m jog to the start or a few metres of grass at the finish - come on!! Excellent race but get there early cos of parking.

In short: Idyllic scenery but...........
In full: OK, the Cotswolds may be pretty but they ain't flat! This was a very enjoyable race. Lovely views [if you can spare the time]. Ford at around 7k had little water in it but could of course be worse. Hill immediately following is a bad one and any good time up to then will go out the window. Nice atmosphere, plenty of parking on site but don't expect a PB!!

In short: Not for the feint-hearted!
In full: Superb setting in grounds of Blenheim Palace. Metalled paths. Excellent organisation. Trouble is, 2 medium-sized hills and one big long one - and that's in one lap! If you had a Half with six medium hills and three big ones, you'd call it seriously hard. Glad I did it [I think!] but doubt if I'll be back. Pity they couldn't somehow find an extra mile as 12.1 isn't likely to attract an awful lot of runners.

In short: Flat!!!!!!
In full: They seriously need to look at the car parking which was dreadful but an idyllic start/finish spot on village green.

In short: Windy!!
In full: This is an excellent venue for a race. Organisation and atmosphere were excellent. Loads of parking and toilets, which makes a change! Perhaps a wind like that wouldn't slow down Button and Hamilton on Hangar Straight but it did me and I doubt if many people ran fast times this year. Will be all the more interesting to watch the British GP this July. Hey - I changed in those pits!!!

In short: Not for the faint-hearted!
In full: Super race but the hills are serious and need preparation! Great organisation and atmosphere. Where did they get the guy on the mic from??? What a star - had me in stitches [oops-just realised what I've said...]

In short: Means what it says..
In full: Be warned that 'hilly' in this instance means just that. The one at 8 is a real brute. Made up for by excellent organisation, great atmosphere, friendly, pleasant people.
