In short: Cancelled - snowed out. In full: One of Glasgow's heaviest snowfalls in decades (over a foot in the city centre) put paid to the race. Snowshoes would have been needed. I'll be back next year for another pop! Date of review: March 12, 2006

In short: Great charity fun run, but not a race In full: I accept now that I shouldn't have entered a 20k participant event hoping for a clear run and good time. But save me, the organisation of the start! What happened? Why were there club runners, like myself, bumped into wave 2?! Why were there walkers at the front of wave 1? Criminal lack of organisation of runners into predicted times - why have waves if they are meaningless in terms of time?
Flat course with PB potential, but a real shame I had to run 10.5 km around all the wave one walkers and shufflers. There were lines of walkers from wave one by 2km for gods sake!
In all good course, if dull, good PB potential if waves were sorted out strictly, great medal and T-shirt. Spoilt by a. the organisational points mentioned. b. inconsiderate walkers pushing to front of wave 1 and, I assume, lying about their likely time on the entry form (unless Greatrun really were stupid and did not heed times on the forms?). You tell me. Date of review: May 24, 2005
