In short: Christmas has started! In full: Once again Maidstone Harriers put on a festive treat! Slick organisation with friendly faces everywhere make this one of my favourite races of the year! The mud this year was back with a vengeance but we were 5 minutes quicker so maybe I'm fitter!

In short: Excellent Marathon Prep In full: As one of the race team just want to say well done to all the runners yesterday in not ideal conditions.
There was a toilet queue but there is at every race I've been too and the there were also toilets on the seafront which were mentioned in the race information sheet sent to every entrant.
Thanks to the First Time Race Director Andy for picking this race up and putting it back on the calendar! Date of review: March 5, 2012

In short: Was the mud replaced with more uphill bits this year! In full: Definitely drier than previous events but some superb sploshing opportunities! Great scenery and camaraderie. Terrific event - only gripe £10 for a replacement number is incredibly steep given the profits they must be making. Date of review: November 26, 2011

In short: Feeling hot hot HOT! In full: Well done Sittingbourne - a lovely route, friendly marshals and a nice touch for all of them to have extra water today! I had a nightmare of a run but that is probably down to me and the unseasonal weather - will come back when hopefully it won't be so hot and my face isn't the colour of a boiled lobster! Nice technical tee shirt too. Date of review: October 2, 2011

2011 Halstead & Essex Marathon

In short: The marshals were brilliant In full: I was supporting club members today and have nothing but praise for the marshals where I was standing (about 12 miles). They were doing an excellent job coping with idiot drivers - especially the 4 x4 towing a trailer who seemed to have no idea that there were runners in the road!! THey were cheerful and supportive. Our club members enjoyed it despite the temperature - well done Halstead. Date of review: May 9, 2011

2010 Virgin London Marathon

In short: The British Public make this event - thanks to them all In full: Had an awful run so disappointing as it will definitely be my last London marathon. Too many people walking far too early in the race and spread across the road, far too many in Ipod/MP3's - what is the point when the crowd support and music round the route are what makes this event so special?
Liked the sports bottles as it made it much easier but think the teeshirt is rubbish - I hope the money they saved on it actually gets donated to the London Marathon Charity. Date of review: April 26, 2010

In short: Brilliant marshals In full: Supportive, friendly marshals and plenty of water. The weather was kind. My only small moan is that for the entry fee the medal was a bit cheap and tacky. Date of review: April 3, 2010

In short: Nicely undulating run In full: Lovely run in lovely weather today, excellent race hq, friendly marshals. A bit hairy along the last busy road with ignorant motorists getting as close as they could! Shame about the runners who ignored the plea not to park in the road near the start thus making a bottleneck even worse! A good start to the year though! Thanks Dartford Date of review: January 17, 2010

In short: Mud and fancy dress - what more could a girl want? In full: As usual a great, friendly pre Christmas run. Love the medal and teeshirt this year. Thanks to the marshals - nice cuppa and mince pie afterwards only quibble - didn't win anything in the raffle!! Date of review: December 13, 2009
