In short: New is not always better
In full: START - like a circus - 1:5 ratio of toilet, ended up starting the race with a stomach full of water as the queue would have taken me longer to get into than running the actual race
also why make it twisty and turny, its not a grand prix, use lloyd george ave for the straight it you want to make up distance
ROUTE - not flat like before, but slightly undulating

SCENERY - miss the bute park/sophia gardens -especially when its replaced by DUAL CAIRRAGEWAY

In short: What goes up... : )
In full: it was a very hard...but good run, even if you classed this a training run, you would get the benefit of the 3 1/2 mile mountain. It just keeps on going, up, and up, and up!!! get the point!! a few water station as you reach each level of the mountain! Something a mashal said made me laugh as I reached the top (exhausted) he said youve got the hard bit now...referring to the down hill section, I thought to myself..what a cock! :) But actually he was kinda right, a tip from me is to just leave your arms flop coming down the other side, otherwise you just slow yourself down!! See you next year!!! 11th this time..who knows next time!??

In short: a few little inclines...yeah right!!
In full: I managed to get a new Half PB (-1:30) in the race from doing it last year, but there are things which the race lacks - bottled water all the time, instead of cups (running and drinking a cup of water is so hard!!!) bottled water is far easy going! And one steward was particularly sarcastic when I reached 12miles - and commented - only 10 more to go!! Not funny! sorry about the ranting, but after not getting a t-shirt and paying a rather respectable entry fee I do not believe it is worth it!

In short: Very fast race with every potential to get a good PB. At the start it is difficult to get out of the "herd" (unless your at the front) but apart from that very welcoming

In short: If I got a t-shirt
In full: Compared to Races such as the London 1/2 Marathon, which gives you a t-shirt, a medal and other goodies, this race really let me down.
