In short: Excellent race - one of the best in the calendar
In full: Very enjoyable course. Great support from the crowds. A bit busy at the beginning - maybe spread the start out a bit more.

In short: Nice venue, good course, but had a kick in the tail!
In full: The organisation and the venue were very good. A small field with mostly club runners, but friendly. The first 8 miles were great ... then it had a long, uphill slog for the final 2 miles ... glad no one could hear what I was muttering under my breath!! Once I recovered though, the lasting impression was that of an enjoyable event. Many thanks to the hosts.

In short: Excellent - very enjoyable, good support, well organised
In full: This was a really well organised and enjoyable event. However, the pre-race material was a bit OTT if you are a beginner. The organisers clearly wanted to make sure this was viewed as a serious race and not a fun run. That's OK, but it could have been done a bit more tactfully!

In short: Poor organisation at beginning, end and with results. They do not reply to email or phone messages.
In full: Race was a challenging up-hill, on-road slog. But worth the effort. My biggest gripe - they got my chip (and thus time) mixed up. I was photographed by the Liverpool Post crossing the line with the 1st wheelchair runner. His time was 45 minutes - yet they had my time down as 1h18m! Wheelchair runners start before the rest of the field. I have tried to contact them them about this, but they don't return emails or phone calls.
