In short: A great introduction to ultra marathons!
In full: As this was my first ultra marathon I was abit concerned as to how much navigating i would have to do. There were times where the signs were not clear but overall the route and map was fairly straight forward to follow.

There was a great atmosphere as fellow runners and staff/volunteers were very friendly and welcoming.

As a newbie to ultra running I found this race to be a great intro to the distance. Thank you to all those involved for putting on such a great event. See you next year!

In short: Really enjoyed the race despite the heat. Disappointed to hear about the lack /no water!
In full: I found the course to have lovely scenery as the course went through various villages and along the coast and it definitely has PB potential as the start of the course is mainly downhill and the rest is mainly flat.

I was unaffected by the lack of/no water situation as I was nearer the front however I did notice that stocks were running low but was under the impression that these would be restocked at some point. Therefore I was disappointed to hear that the water simply ran out! This is truly unacceptable whether it was hot or not. There should be enough water available for ALL runners throughout a race. If it was the case that water along with gels were stolen something should have been put in place to help ease the situation but from the other comments I've seen it seems nothing was done to the point where some runners were told they were not allow to complete the course! Terrible!

Having said all that let me finish on a good note and say that I enjoyed the course and thought the support from the spectators was brilliant! Thank you to the volunteers for all their hard work on such a hot day. I think I will be back next year.

In short: Despite the rain and wind an excellent event which was well organised and had a friendly crowd.
In full: This was my first time doing this race and I have to say it is now one of my favourites! It was a well organised event (despite the delay of 10 mins - which was not the organisers fault) and well marshalled. Everyone was friendly from the volunteers, supporters and fellow runners. A big thank you to the organisers. I will definitely be back next year!
