In short: Great race with a terrific setting
In full: The first 2K is downhill, then you go back up the same hill for 2K, and the final 1K is flat around the massive house and gardens. Terrific evening with a real mixture of runners.

In short: It was hot day with very little shade - but a good race
In full: I would certainly like to do this race in cooler conditions as I feel you could achieve a very good time for this distance. However, an excellent and enjoyable race with a very friendly atmosphere!

In short: It was very very hot!!!!!!!
In full: This race is ran at 1pm, so you are running at one of the hottest parts of the day, and in late September it can still very hot. This was my first ever race and I got caught up in the occasion rather than running my own race and as a result I found it exceptionally tough!

In short: An enjoyable race
In full: A good race and an enjoyable school fete. No water on the course and was only told about this a minute before the start, but thankfully it was not too hot to need any!

In short: Terrific atmosphere and a good race
In full: Really enjoyable race - but careful where you tread as you can easily go over on your ankle on some of the rougher ground. Great atmosphere, a fun evening for all runners and spectators.

In short: Thoroughly enjoyable race.
In full: Plenty of water (both provided by the marshalls and by the clouds!)Managed to knock nearly 6 mins off my PB. First off race I have done and will definitely be considering doing more. Could have done with a couple of portaloos at the event site.
