In short: Gets better each time I run it
In full: Haven't run this race since 2006 and in the intervening 3 years great improvements have been made with the course and organisation. Love the current route - much much better than the old slog along the Redbourn Road, and the country lanes made for some welcome shade. Plenty of well-organised water stations and friendly maarshals, and a lovely finish in the park.

In short: Another fine race!
In full: 2nd time running this race and enjoyed it even more this time. It's a tough course and you can't compare it to a road race for speed but it's well organised and takes in some beautiful Herts. countryside. With the fun run and other activities it's a great morning out for the family.

In short: Another great 10k at Standalone
In full: Really enjoyed this again - the 2nd time I've run it. Only bit I don't like is running along the bypass, but the great marshalling made it feel safe. Lovely atmosphere overall and animals for the kids to look at - what more could you ask for?

In short: Lovely scenery - lovely race
In full: Liked the route which takes you through some chocolate box villages and rolling countryside - also prepares you for the hefty hill at mile 9 because you've already run down it! Well marshalled, with lots of encouragement, especially towards the end. Would definitely do it again.

In short: A nice race but lots of room for improvement
In full: The route was pleasant but a bit too bumpy around the cyclepaths - unfortunately the start and finish could have been a lot better: banding at the start and an organised finish would have improved the race immensely.

In short: Great race - lovely scenery, friendly marshalls, well-organised
In full: Really enjoyed this - the scenery was fantastic and a welcome distraction from the freezing temperatures, lots of support on the route, and I got a PB - hurray!

In short: Great race - especially as I got a PB!
In full: Good organisation, friendly marshals, cheery fellow competitors all made it a great race - and I beat my PB by 3 mins. (hurrah)
