In short: Second time - and we're out
In full: Not one for leaving poor feedback but here goes. This is the first time that I've been to an event and the organisation is worse than the previous year. So if you want a race where:

The race announcer cannot fathom a loud hailer so race instructions are not heard (see last years positive comments - where I suggested a working loud hailer).

Th race announcer failed to ask (or maybe we just never heard her) anyone expecting above 40 mins to step away from the front few rows meaning there was far too many slower runners at the very, very front - infact the worst I've ever experienced in dozens of large and small races.

The race starter could not fathom how to use a klaxon - so resorted to saying 'go' - meaning no-one at the back (or middle) heard.

Where there was nowhere to get changed post race after a very hot run (hottest day of the year I understand) - let alone get washed or showered. Whose bright idea was it to lock the changing rooms 15 mins before the race and then not open them?

Where there were less toilets open this year than last year even though there were more entrants this year!! The bowling green toilets being closed and the school havin only two toilets which were mixed. Am sure the cricketers loved seeing runners urinate close to the outfield in their desperation!!

Whilst thankful they were there (I marshall myself) the marshalls throughout the first 5k were shamefully quiet - only from 6k did any shout the slightest bit of encouragement.

The water station on 5k was fine for us at the front - but for those further back was like a scene from its a knock out with drinks being grabbed (and dropped) due to not enough people helping and not enough pre-planning of already poured drinks.

The poor car park stewards were left in a real pickle with far too many cars.

You may as well save yourself the cost for hiring the clock too as it was positioned such that people could stand in front of it - meaning that no-one could see it!

The race isnt fit for purpose as it stands - we'll not be back - I guess no-one will read this anyway.

Changing facilities, enough toilets, car parking, poor water station and too miserable stewards for all dont make up for a half decent course.

Thank you to the stewards at the end of the race who did lift us - it is appreciated indeed.

In short: Great race - well done for pulling it together
In full: Great fast route, superb organisation, lots and lots of marshalls.

Swap either the medal or t-shirt for chip timing and it'll be perfect

In short: Good race
In full: Fastish, flattish and times were on the notice board at the Cricket Club before we left!

The chap does a great job with his pre race speech (same guy as the monthly 5ks I think).

In response to the chap below who slates the race and in particular the leaving the water pre race. I sympathise with the organisers totally. Next year have barbed wire around the mile markers and snipers protecting the marshalls so that he gives you a better rating?

Only one negative for me was that if I hadn't gone back for the shower I wouldnt have known about the Tee shirts. No one at the finish advised me (or club mates) they were there!!

Still a great effort though

In short: Sub 35 mins
In full: First time at this - fast route no doubt although not flat, flat. Anyone else find the surface a little slippy? I had to switch to the cycle lane on 7k.

Note to organisers - if you're not going to police the time zones then you need to try and explain that 60min plodders need not be in the sub 35mins box - these guys spoil other peoples races and at £16 - its not an inexpensive one to waste.

Found the staff at the end great - very smiley and upbeat. I'll be back...

In short: Great organisation - well done
In full: Undulating rather than hilly makes this race interesting. No traffic that I saw. Good field. Decent tee shirt and nice to have a water station. Very impressed with speed of results online. Well done to you all

In short: Good race - but keep it quiet!!
In full: Quality race this with a very friendly atmosphere. Keep the goodie bag minimal and keep the price down - good work.

Nice genuinely warm welcome at the finish - some trickier bits in the woods and hot bridal paths albeit all flat!

Maybe two improvements? The loud hailer was less than loud - we couldn't hear the count down! The second is showers. Would have been great to support the local pub if the showers had been opened for us.

But we'll be back - thank you and well done

Look forward to the results!

In short: Great race - but the 'mile' markers need sorting
In full: Good race this - nice feel to it.

Just one gripe - the mile markers. They were all over the shop (especially the first half).

Apart from that top marks

Well done

In short: Well done Barton
In full: I have never seen so many police and stewards at a race. This was only surpassed the amount of photographers!!

Good solid race this with a warm feel about it.

In short: Well done
In full: Travelled best part of two hours for this one for the third year - that probably says it all.

The wind was a menace on the first half (as was the fact I hadnt tied my right show lace enough!!).

Well done again and continue to keep this one quiet eh? Its too good to get spoilt by the masses!!
