In short: Hogs Back Race just got better
In full: The improved route means less traffic and an extra hill early on - lovely. A well run race, fabulous scenery and the parking is easier now within Loseley grounds. Well done everyone for making this classic even better!

In short: Fabulous 10K, fantastic atmosphere!!
In full: The scenery around Godalming is beautiful and varied - the race starts and finishes in the historic town centre, with river side footpaths and challenging hills up to Hogwarts-style Charterhouse. Organisation was top notch for an inaugural race, could improve a couple of marshal points and water at the end would've been nice, but no biggy as there was bottled drink and food supplied free at the end. Fantastic atmosphere on this race from the spectators and marshals cheering us on. Yes, the goody bag could have been better, but I go to these events for the running not the dubious freebies and landfill. Hope this repeats again next year, it has the makings of a classic local event.

In short: Great course - dubious marshalling
In full: The course is a toughie, would be great on a sunny evening but was more demanding thanks to the rain.

OK - good effort from the marshals who were standing in the rain, but this obviously went badly wrong at a couple of junctions because runners were finishing from all directions. I feel sorry for the guy who was winning the race until he was misdirected at the end, only to end up third behind runners who knew the course. Shameful.

In short: Scenic, fun. . . but tough in places
In full: Enjoyed this one, good views of Box Hill and the North Downs. Bit of a straggly start, friendly marshalling and well positioned water points. The heat/humidity made it a toughy, no chance of a PB unless your a fell runner. Oh yes, beware trampling kids on this run (and being overtaken by a seven year olds!).
