In short: Great course, support and marshalls.
In full: It's already been said on here. Great race, very well organised. Loads of encouragement on the course from supporters and marshalls. Great finish area with a decent goody bag (for a change), good value massages and ice cream. What more could you want? Oh and the weather too!

In short: The worst weather ever, organisers should be applauded.
In full: Excellent turn out from marshalls and supporters helped to keep my mind off the terrible weather. Good course with a few tricky hills in the second half. Very good for a first year. I'm sure the organisers will iron out the few problems and stage an evn better race next year.

In short: Great marshalls and scenery.
In full: Thank you to the many marshalls. All were smiling and offering positive encouragement. The race route is very picturesque and a bit challenging with the switches in terrain. Really enjoyed the race. Will be back. Thanks PP, very slick organisation.

In short: Decent 10k course with friendly marshalls and THE BEST finish line cakes.
In full: This was my second time in 5yrs and I would recommend it for both new runners and those more experienced. Plenty of hills to keep the interest up. The marshalls were very encouraging and the cakes at the finish were the best - you should add this to your t-shirts! Can I make 2 requests: get a hooter for the start as further down the field we didn't hear the start of the race and it spread like a rumour and can you spray paint the finish line - I didn't know when I had finished and ran into the chute. The marshall on the finish line didn't seem to know it was confusing. These were just minor points for an overall, really friendly race. I'll be back again to run those hills.

In short: Hilly but spectacular scenery made up for it
In full: A tough race given the rolling hills but well worth the effort for the views in the woods and across the water. Personally I could have done with a few extra water stops but everything provided was as described and no complaints. A challenging course, but who wants another flat'n'fast marathon. Good to test yourself now and again!

In short: Great race, recommend it
In full: Well organised, slick race. Very welcoming for all runners. I would recommend this race. The course has a couple of hills which can catch you out on the second lap, but nothing major. Had no complaints about the plastic cups, I can't believe how many races in the UK still use bottles - I've spent a few years racing in the States and bottles are extremely uncommon due to the environmental impact. Drinking from cups is another skill, practice a couple of times crushing the cup into a spout and you'll be fine. Well done to the Rotary Club, I hope you raised as much money as you could, it is well worth it.

In short: Great marshalls, well organised, good value.
In full: My first Bedford Half and well worth it. It's not the easiest of courses but it provided excellent training. Well organised and really great marshalling. Especially enjoyed the TA(?) boys at the last water stop barking encouragement! Thank you, I'll be back next year.

In short: Super supporters made this race!
In full: Great organisation and support from marshalls and locals made this race go by relatively quickly. I was getting tired of thanking people for their support - what a nice thing to have to say about a marathon. Runners were never far away from the next supporter clapping and encouraging, even in the heavy rain during the first half. The atmosphere at the finish was brilliant. No mass finish as it's a relatively small marathon, which meant each finisher was greeted by a huge roar from the crowd. Bloody brilliant, felt like I'd finished an IM!
