In short: Very uninspiring (derelict) venue, lots of doubling back on the route
In full: Wind was to be expected for an airfield location, and in that respect it didn't disappoint. The route was complicated, with lots of doubling back via hairpin turns. The road surface leading to the car park is enough to wreck a car. Everything about the venue was run-down.

In short: Good race. Evil hills (in a good way!)
In full: Very enjoyable, the hills were evil, but in a good way, and the fact it was a 2 lap race, which meant you knew what delights were to be enjoyed in lap 2, added that little something!!!

Very relaxed organisation, with very supportive marshals.

Was a bit hard finding registration in the leisure centre mind, but after that fine.

Definitely one to do again next year, now I've a time to measure myself against.

In short: Grest, well organised race
In full: Ran this last in 2006 and the niggles have been ironed out. Hilly, but not brutal. Great to get the results text by the time I'd got to the car. I bought the t-shirt, and would pay more to have a tech t, which I could then wear when training. Brilliantly well organised, very well marshalled throughout, and a very supportive crowd along the route. Oh, and a serious pb too!

In short: Great race, lovely hills. Definitely be back next year. Please bring back the coaster though.
In full: Well organised, great support from the marshals all round. Great to have bags taken from the start back to the finish - means you can keep warm till the start.

The start is a bit clogged due to the narrow lane for the first mile or so, bit of a bun fight, but fine after that.

The hills were...... fun!

Shame they've done away with the coaster as a momento though, I was looking forward to building up a collection, but instead they changed to a tacky (sorry, but it is) looking cheap diary.

In short: Great. Really enjoyed it.
In full: Really well run, good course, good marshalling, well signed, even the rain stopped in time.

Great momento. Definitely be back again next year.

In short: Great location, challenging run.
In full: The location certainly made the race - not often you see a tank driving round while you race, and some of the hills were pretty special! Would have less fun had it been wet.

While there weren't enough toilets, delaying start by 20 minutes because of the toilet queues only meant that those who'd got there in enough time were left standing round getting cold before the start.

Though I'm chuffed with my time, that's tempered by previous comments which suggest the distance was short - shame.

In short: Great race, well organised.
In full: Marshalls were very effective and very supporting. Even enjoyed the two main hills! Distance was unusual, but ideal and the scenery was wonderful.
One stretch was a little tricky dodging the cars, but no major problems.

Really enjoyed it and aim to be back again next year.

In short: Great day, really well organised and marshalled. Hills weren't as bad as expected. Section around War Memorial Park was a bit soul destroying though.
