In short: flat, fast but narrow, good org but a bit of a mess up on the day
In full: A good event overall. Good to see the introduction of a kids race with 15 year olds having the choice. There was a problem this year on the course and I suspect it was a little short as the lead bike did not move out onto the cycle track after the first lap of the running track. In the junior race there were cones and tape to stop this and the lead bike went out - this did not happen on the 5mile. I am sure this won't happen next year and apart from that the organisation was great - a very enjoyable race.

In short: Great event, really well organised, extra water station added due to heat, good trail markings and km markers. A bit too hilly for a pb!

In short: 2nd year another great AND a bit tougher race MUD
In full: Great race, More mud this year, more hills in the middle section. Pretty knackering.

Start needs to be better organised with a gap in the pen at the back for people to file into. Pushing people in at the front of the line didn't work. That aside a well organised and well marketed run.

Certainly harder this year warranting the HELLRUNNER title.

The amount of mud in the shower was unbelievable. I hope the Persil in the goody bag works on the runner who ran round in his badminton kit (including racket).

In short: Pricey, but well organised and fast course
In full: A good event again this year. Championchips working very well.

Mile markers were massive and you could not miss them when the roads were empty but then when the crowds lined the pavement they disappeared from view. Only need to put them higher up next year.

Great to run with international athletes - or at least see them warming up!

In short: Excellent organisation
In full: Well marshalled, good police presence, lots of water stations. Really well organised. There was a big line for the loos on the recreation ground before the start but a few minutes away there were more portaloos and no line. Shame about the motorists but short of full road closures what can you do. Some drivers are just a**e holes!! Well done and thanks to the organisers.

In short: What a killer course.
In full: Water up to the top of my thighs - thank goodness for long legs!! Muddy, sandy, very wet. Hills like I've never seen which moved under foot. Best bit seeing other people fall in the water. Good atmosphere. Goody bag incl decent T shirt plus other bits. This event must have taken some organising and they did a great job marking the course etc.

1 week after the great south run is a bit much though especially if all you've done is training on flat roads.
