In short: Fantastic First Time Event.
In full: Agree with the comments re: rubbish. I was one of the back markers and I overheard a member of the public telling the girls at the last water station that there was debris all across the hill he had just walked down (that I was just about to head up), and she did say that they would be collecting the rubbish - but why should the responsibility alone be left to the people manning the station? We are all adults! I left my bottle at the station to go into the rubbish bag, rather than either have to carry it or discard it. As has been stated, it is things like that which could prevent a well-organised event like this from taking place in the future.

Thanks to Phil and the Marshalls and Bolton Mountain Rescue for organising the event and allowing it to go ahead in the weather conditions. It was a scenic event with a great atmosphere - great support from everyone on the way round. I would do it again, but with much more off-road training first!

In short: Great for a training run......
In full: Great race for those just getting into running, or for those of us who used it as a training run on the path to longer events later in the year. Good organisation and good crowds and friendly marshals around the stadium. Would definitely consider it again next year.
