In short: Pathetic organisation. Needs to be organised by runners In full: I ran the 10K two years ago when the organisation was o k. This year the organisation was a farce. I arrived early and missed the jam but the traffic lights outside the entrance were a disaster. The course had apparently been altered the day before due to waterlogged ground but the ground has been waterlogged in this area for weeks! No mile markers and no idea where the start was for the half marathon. The leaders oof the 10K had to weave through the runners in the half. The marshalls were superb in the artic conditions. I dont mind paying a lot of money for a race with a good cause providing the race is organised properly which this certainly was'nt. The race has potential because the course is good but the organisers need to liase with a proper running club. Date of review: February 28, 2005
