In short: 4th year - perversely enjoyed the rain. The 8 - 9k hill seemed much easier this year!

In short: Tougher than expected
In full: Intended to be training run for marathon however found myself running too fast due to overall pace which was set. Surprised at how undulating it was, hardly any flat stretches and not many downs. Organisation excellent and best goody bag in ages.

In short: First marathon - expected muscle ache, not sunburn!! Excellent organsiationn - copious water stations, great marshallling and support.
In full: Great first marathon experience although struggled with heat on 2nd lap of Greenway. Kept going by marvellous support along Greenway, both from other runners and everyone else. Not as flat as expected but guess the sun didnt help - have only trained in wintery conditions!

In short: 3rd half I have done and the best! Hillier (and drier!) than expected. Brilliant support from locals, marshalls and road control. Great practice for marathon

In short: 2nd time out and glad the weather improved from Saturday and last year. Manager a PB despite being thrown by mile 5 appearing to be in the wrong place and didnt see 6 at all. Marshalling, support and goody bag excellent. A regular date for me

In short: Hillier than expected - and I train on hills. Ecstatic to have acheived a PB despite jobsworth pen security, walkers, heat and bottle throwing locals!
In full: This was my first(and last) GNR. Highs - fantastic crowd support and overall atmosphere plus PB. Lows - too far to travel again, nightmare traffic problems going home. Aimed to do it once but happy to give someone else a chance for a place.

In short: Great race and excellent organisation for car parking. Special mention to the marshalls - they must have been freezing but still managed cheery smiles and encouragement!!
