In short: Bit of everything In full: I managed a PB by 12 minutes on this course, was really happy with it. I thought the mile markers were supremely accurate and the support of the locals was fantastic. The people of Hastings should be proud of an event like this and support it for years to come.
One gripe, upon finishing, there was no bag, which maybe we all take for granted, but it would have been nice to have a bottle of water/sports drink and something to eat rather than a piddly cup of orange juice/tea. I think if that part of the organisation got sorted, this race would be my 100% favorite. Other than that, well done to all at Hastings Lions.
In short: Brilliant In full: What a day for the half? Weather added to the diversity of the course. Shin deep puddles and spray from cars. Don't get that in many races. Wonderfully organised and well done to all the marshalls, cheer leaders and bands. Definately hard to beat this race. Made even better by setting my pb today!!! Date of review: February 28, 2010
In short: Hard as Nails In full: I completed the race in Cardiff yesterday and needless to say I have very sore thighs. It was a fantastic race, the obsticals were testing at stages, and the atmosphere was incredible. I would definately recommend this to anyone wishing for a different 10K. I might book a hotel next year, as I left at 05h30 from Tunbridge Wells, Kent and got back at 17h00. Long drive back after a beating. Date of review: October 5, 2009
In short: Brilliant In full: My first half marathon, and loved every minute of it. Managed to smash the 2hr target, so really happy. I heard a few PB's were hit this year. Congrats to all involved in organisation. Will be back next year!!! Date of review: April 19, 2009
In short: Fantastic In full: Great organisation of this event. Not done much training, so struggled a bit up the hill. Still managed to be within 1 minute of PB, so overall not to unhappy. Date of review: April 19, 2009
